Michiel has always had a strong love for music. When he was nine years old he started following guitar lessons. At the age of eleven he created his love for jazz after hearing a jazz-album from the saxophonist Stan Getz. Besides always having played the guitar and for a short period also the saxophone, he later on started playing the piano at the age of 18. From that moment on the piano became his main instrument. His approach to the Music is very open-minded and he embraces all music-styles.
